Certified Arborist 

(Full-Time Position - Kingston, Ontario)

We continue to grow and now need to expand our production team to serve the growing demand for our professional services. 

This role will focus on:

• Organizing all aspects of tree removal and care with a safety-first approach;
• Interacting with property owners in a professional manner to ensure expectations are met and exceeded;
• Collaborating with crew associates and other team members and leadership;
• Maintaining a clean, organized, professional, and safe job site;
• Monitoring the performance of all operating equipment and scheduling preventative repairs when required; 
• Demonstrating a positive attitude that supports our company values.

Qualifications and Experience

Westwood Tree Services and our valued clients require a team player with the following:

• Certified ISA Utility Arborist/MCTU444B/444A; 
• Skilled with tree climbing procedures and have aerial lift experience; 
• Demonstrated competency utilizing Aerial Lifts, Bucket Trucks, Chippers, and Chain Saws;
• Established organizational skills with attention to project management;
• Experienced knowledge working with trees, shrubs, and hedges for removal, pruning and maintenance;
• Established telephone, email, listening, and oral communication skills;
• Confirmed possession of a Valid Ontario ARZ driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

Westwood Tree Services is looking to fill a position as Grounds Crew. 

Groundsperson - Arborist Trainee

Minimum Education: High school Diploma
Preferred Education: Field Related College Arborist Diploma

Valid Drivers License with clear drivers abstract required.
Preference given to those who have a DZ or ARZ License

Preferred Certifications:

• First Aid and CPR
• Chainsaw Operators Course
• Working at Heights
• Occupational Health and Safety
• WHMIS

Job Duties:
The position will encompass all Tree Care/Services Operations. Beginning as a groundsperson on our Tree crew. Dragging brush, cutting wood on the ground, brush chipping, technical rope rigging, tying knots, machine (mini skid steer, chipper, dump trailer) and truck operations, truck cleanliness, and general upkeep.

The ideal candidate will have a passion and true interest in the tree care industry.

We are looking for a long term team member to work with our highly skilled team to provide professional, high quality tree care service work.

Pay is based on experience and knowledge of industry practices.

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
